Is there some tool available through which I can check Alexa ranking in one go? It takes up lot of time to check the URLs one by one and I am required to check lots of URL's alexa ranking.

If you install the alexa toolbar you can check alexa ranking as fast as you can load the domains in your browser, this may be your best bet Kate.

There are a couple sources that you can use to run bulk alexa rank checks. It seems some of the tools that used to be around to do this no longer work, but here are a couple that may still do what you need Kate.

Websites that check alexa rank in bulk url lists:

http://www.firstco.c...le-alexa-pr.htm

http://www.siteopsys...nk-checker.tool

Software that checks bulk domains on alexa:

http://www.cleversta...s-many-urls.htm

Hope this helps,

Nick

If you use FireFox, you can use a plugin called SearchStatus
A great tool to have. It gives you Alexa rank and PR (and a lot more) of every site that you visit. It displays that info in Status bar so it will save you time.

Thanks guys, I try to share what I can. I just found this one and am considering purchasing it and adding it to some of my sites as a free resource. It does a Google PR and Alexa bulk check and is a cheap $10.00 script you can add to your own site. The demo seems to function perfectly, I am just curious if it will work with updates as Google and Alexa make changes.

Check it out here : http://www.selfseo.c...cker_php_script

Just download the Alexa toolbar and have it attached to Mozilla Firefox. The procedures are quick and easy to follow. You may browse about it at any search engine.

The Alexa rating is useless. It only counts those who use it's toolbar. It's not an accurate count as it does not include those who opt not to use it or block access to the site's monitoring system.

I have my own doubts about the alexa ranking methodology. How is the ranking arrived at? Is it a software that can be installed on our computers?

Good to find a lot of discussion on alexa earlier. Yes, there are mixed opinions on alexa and its use. Well, one has to accept the efforts taken by alexa at the end of the day.
