One of the most confusing things about setting scripts on a Linux host for many is understanding and setting up file permissions. Unlike windows file permissions they are a little archaic unless you understand how they work. If you are looking for some help with Linux server file permissions, I have found a site that does a wonderful job of explaining what they are, how to use them and anything else you may ever want to know about Linux hosting file permissions.

Here is the link to the site: http://www.hostingma...rmissions.shtml

No problem Randy. These file permissions are one of those things that you will very rarely change after your site is setup and everything is installed. However, you want to make sure you get them set up right early on so there are no security holes and your scripts are able to run correctly.
