Facebook To 6M Users: We Moved Fast And Broke Your Privacy

Seems Facebook has screwed up again:

 

 

 

Facebook, one of whose core principles is "Move fast and break things," appears to have done just that with the contact information of some six million users.

 

The social network admitted that a complex bug involving the way it stores user phone numbers and email addresses of its users may have "inadvertently" exposed that information to other users.

Facebook has begun sending out emails to the 6 million users whose accounts were affected by the social network’s privacy flaw. Revealed earlier today, the company said that these users “accidentally” may have had their email addresses and phone numbers shared with other users.

We’ve received an email from Facebook and have pasted it below. This is what the users are receiving now:
