Contemporary discussions on race have progressively focused on the number of black men in prison. The question framed in these discussions -- a rhetorical move -- is, "Why are there more black men in prison than in college?"

The question calls for a limited answer. If one responds to the question, we could easily assume that the solution would be to work toward putting more black men in college. However, a better question I think, and equally rhetorical would be, "Why is more money being invested in prisons, rather than education?"

Especially when a large portion of those who are sent to prison have limited education anyway.

By asking the question, "Why is there not more money being invested in education?," attention is not exclusively centered on black men, but on the lawmakers, policy architects, and the prison system. I worry that if we only rely on the broad scope of there being more black men in prison than in college, the appropriate fingers are not being pointed in the appropriate directions. Another angle I want to examine this question from is through the scope of sexism. While there is a substantial number of black men being shipped off to prison, the question "why are there more black men in prison than in college," also participates in a form of sexism.

For example, there is also a disproportionate number of women of color, particularly Latina and black women, in prison. Rather than examine just how black men have been screwed over by the legal system, what about women becoming increasingly targeted, particularly when you examine the feminization of poverty?

How will welfare reform, if it can be called that, affect the number of women in poverty and how will that in turn affect the number of women being shipped off to prison? Yet another important question to be asked. Also, there is this way in which the plight of black men veils the plight of black women, if we allow it to. The final angle I want to examine regarding the question is the "fetishization" of higher education. The question of why there are more black men in prison than in college assumes that black men, all black men, would be better off in college than in prison. This is, of course, true to an extent.

Certainly I -- as a black man -- would rather be in college than in prison, but we still assume that everyone has equal access to go to college and equal desire. It's not about black men being in college over prison, its about black men not being in prison. Maybe instead of advocating for black men to just go to college "to make it," we should be advocating for a living wage and affordable housing. That way, regardless of one's educational background and access to education, one still survives. This would also get at another huge issue that the prison system calls attention to, and that is the way in which poverty plays a role in who becomes incarcerated and who does not. After all, there is a huge connection between poverty and "criminalization," that we have to address. This connection becomes apparent when street drug peddlers that often - but not always - fall into one racial category get sent to prison, and big corporate corrupt executives who typically fall into another racial category - but not always - get a slap on the wrist.

Finally, as we struggle against racism, our strategies cannot be shortsighted. It's important that we not just pay attention to solutions, but how the questions are framed to get us to the solution.

Working at home seems too good to be true. Have you ever wished that you could just quit your job and have something to rely on at home? Well now you can. A new website that I have created can do just that. It is a review of the top three websites that I have found most helpful in getting myself through college without working a part-time job outside of the Internet. These web-sites make it easy to create an at-home business and will show you step-by-step of how to make money on the internet. These aren't get rich quick scams or anything. They may take up to a week to get started, but once going, you can have cash flow of over ten thousand dollars a month. This is just from ONE of these websites. That means you could be doing another job or be a full time student like myself while running one of these businesses. Image if you didn't have a job and these three websites were your full-time job. The rewards would be great and you wouldn't have to work many hours at all. Each website require little time to start and only about 2-5 hours a week MAX to keep running. You can choose to put more time into these businesses and that will only generate more income for you. These sites do cost money to receive the information, but the price is as little as $20. That's it! These are must check out sites! Remember, it takes money to make money. Find them at my website www.hokosreviews.com

BBQing Rocks!

I've had my BBQ for over 8 years. This year when summer came along and it was time to start grilling I took one look at my grill and decided that it was time for an upgrade. I took about two full days to look around and get an understanding of what the differences are between barbecues. After shopping around and reading up on different barbecues I decided to get this one. Click on the thumbnail at the bottom of this post to see it.

Here are the specs:
SOVEREIGN XLS 90

988744 LP / 988747 NG
• 56,000 BTU stainless steel burner system
• 4 stainless steel Dual-Tube™ burners
• 10,000 BTU stainless steel side burner
• 18,000 BTU stainless steel rear burner
• Premium rotisserie kit
• 1000 sq. in. total cooking area
• 600 sq. in. primary cooking area
• Solid 3/8" stainless steel cooking grids
• Stainless steel Flav-R-Wave™ cooking system
• Flav-R-Zone™ heat partitions
• Linear Flow™ infinitely adjustable burner valves
• Deluxe Accu-temp™ thermometer
• Sure-Lite™ electronic ignition system
• Therma-Cast™ aluminum oven
• Stainless steel drop down side shelves

Ok, what does this mean? It means that I could get serious when it's time to BBQ.

A 4 burner barbecue means that I could easily BBQ the meat with indirect heat. Basically the barbecue becomes like an oven because you turn one or two burners on and you place the meat on the area where the burners are turned off. This type of BBQing is great for slow cooking. Stuff like ribs, turkey, pork shoulder and so on.

Since getting this monster a few weeks ago the first thing I wanted to master was making ribs. The wonderful thing about learning to make stuff is that you get to eat it. So far there have been 4 varieties of ribs that I've tried, well actually there are 3 types but one is going to be tried tomorrow. Here are the types:

Pork riblets

Pork flank ribs

Beef short ribs

Pork back ribs

The pork back ribs is what I'm trying tomorrow. I've used a similar recipe for all of them.

The pork riblets was the first of the ribs that I tried. The riblets are the end part of the ribs. There's not much meat on them and from my experience not very good for BBQ because there's very little meat. I would probably use them in a meat sauce after browning them a little.

My second set of ribs was the beef short ribs. After making a huge mistake in the dry rub I had to throw away some of them because they were too hot. In the rub I had put 2 tbsp of cayenne pepper instead of 2 tsp. The heat from the cayenne pepper was too much and my wife and I felt sick after eating them. We both like hot stuff but this was too much. Only when I made my third batch of ribs did I learn why the ribs were so hot. I had pretty much doubled the dose of cayenne.

For my third batch I used rib flank. The flank is right below the back ribs and contain more meat than the riblets but less than the back ribs. Finally after altering the dry rub these ribs were awesome. I had friends come over to try them and one of them while eating kept on saying mmmm... mmmm.... I'm not sure if he knew that he was doing this but I was enjoying the moment. There's nothing like people enjoying the food that you make.

Tonight I prepared the back ribs for tomorrow. We're celebrating my daughter's second birthday and we've invited family. Just between parents, siblings and nieces and nephews we're going to be 27 people. The ribs are only part of the menu. So far I could tell you that I now understand why back ribs are more expensive. First off, there's a lot more meat, the ribs are bigger and it already seems more tender even though they're raw. You could see the mountain of ribs below. You don't have to place the rub the night before, 2 to 3 hours before putting them on the barbecue is sufficient but since I'm going to start BBQing at 9 tomorrow morning I needed to put the rub on tonight. Tomorrow they'll be smoked for about 4 hours at 225 Fahrenheit . I may take photos so that I could show you the process and how they go from this to beautiful caramelized, tender ribs. Man I look forward to sinking my teeth in those ribs tomorrow.

I'll probably post some pictures tomorrow, so see ya then.

I came across Redlasso a few months ago and started using their video clips for Fresh Dames. Redlasso is a service that records TV and then members can cut clips and post them on their site. You can see an example of a clip on a Fresh Dames here Miley Cyrus Talks About Her New Album.
Unfortunately yesterday Redlasso had to suspend their Beta site due to legal actions taken against Redlasso from two major networks. Hopefully they'll be able to restore service once they've come up with a deal. Below is a quote from Redlasso press release.
We would like to thank you for your continued support of Redlasso. You have been essential to making Redlasso a household name online. Unfortunately, due to the legal actions taken against Redlasso by two networks, we are left with no alternative but to suspend access to our video search and clipping Beta site FOR THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE. The networks have provided a big blow to the blogger community’s right to exercise the first amendment and comment on newsworthy events. It is anti-Web.
Golf And The Four Horses

Image: http://bp3.blogger.com/_BkpNw_xcWa4/R6JicMkX4lI/AAAAAAAAAXM/N5kZJoODuaE/s200/dogen.jpg ...

By John Lynch

In the “Shime” chapter of the Shobogenzo, Zen Master Dogen Zenji discusses the “four horses,” which is a metaphor used by the Buddha in the Samyuta-Agama sutra. This metaphor of the four horses speaks about how we are when we practice the game of golf— four, one could say, classes of students.

The first horse, the superior class, is like a horse that runs fastest by merely feeling the whip's shadow. The second horse, the good class, runs fastest when the whip brushes its hair, the hair of its mane. The third horse, the poor class, runs fastest where the whip has actually touched its flesh. And the fourth, the lowest kind of horse, is the one who runs fastest only when the whip can be felt to the marrow of its bones.

At first glance we all want to be like the first horse in the superior class. These are the fast learners...the ones who seem to be a natural. Dogen Zenji says this may not be so desirable. A study of master golfers has shown that it is not the students with innate natural abilities who have achieved golf mastery. The golfers who have achieved mastery are mostly the students with average to below average natural abilities...the ones who have practiced their craft diligently. This is very interesting...why is this so?

The road to mastery for all students has many plateaus in skill levels interrupted by brief spikes in improvements. When the first class of student takes up golf they see an immediate spike in improvement in their skill level and are very motivated. When they reach that ultimate first plateau where they do not improve despite hard practice, most gifted students get discouraged.

Gifted students are used to seeing fast progress, so they may blame the instructor or something else just so they don't have to put in the hard work that is needed to attain mastery. Many superior students will then give up the game due to frustration.

Superior athletes who never make it big are seen in ALL sports. We all have heard countless stories about gifted athletes who never made it big because they weren’t willing to put the time in needed to reach their innate potential.

The fourth class of student will see slow improvements, much time spent on plateaus in their skill level. If the fourth class of golf student stays with it and practices hard they will learn the golf to the marrow of their bones, like the fourth horse.

Before you can master ANY skill, you need to learn the skill to the marrow of your bones. To learn golf to the marrow of your bones you need to stay at each skill level for however long it takes. Most first class students never learn the skill to the marrow of their bones because it comes easy to them. The time spent on plateaus for students who learn fast are shorter than the ones who learn slower.

The paradox of the four horses parable is we must practice like the fourth class of horse to become like the first class of horse.

Hit 'em Long and Straight!

I'll never forget one of the best beginner golf tips I ever heard came from golfing great Ben Hogan - "The grip you have on your golf club is the same grip you have on your life". If you are a controlling person in life, you will be a controlling person in golf...we learn a lot about ourselves on how we play the game of golf.

Learning the proper fundamentals in golf is the best golf tips for beginners. Correct golf fundamentals starts with a sound grip. When you first learn the proper grip it will feel different, like you have no control over the golf club. This is normal. A beginner golfers initial instinct will be to hold the club more in the plams of their hands rather than the correct way which is more in the fingers...fight this feeling!

Golf is a game of opposites, to gain control in your golf swing you have to give up control. When you grip the club more so in the fingers you are allowing the club head to release fully through impact giving you effortless power.

The best teaching pros will not even work with you if you are unwilling to change a grip that is wrong. Most beginners grip the club too much in their palms and too tightly which is why they cannot generate any speed. The proper grip is more in the fingers with both hands working together and as one unit.

There is plenty of beginner golf tips "snake oil" out there on the internet which talks about the grip. Don't be misled. To learn a PROPER grip, I highly recommend getting Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf. Ben Hogan is considered by most to be the best ball striker that ever lived. His book gives a great explanation of a proper grip.

The illustrations alone are worth the price of the book. Hogan spends a whole chapter on the grip which should give you an idea of how important he thinks the grip is.

Hogan's Five Lessons is considered sacred text by top golf instructors. It was written in 1957 by the man himself. His timeless principals and concepts still hold up 50 years later. Click here to get Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf

A small price to pay for arguably "The best golf instruction book ever written"!

Secret Golf Advice and Tips For Golf Beginners:

Read and re-read the chapter on the grip till you can grasp the ideas he is teaching. You should have a club with you while you read so you can practice. Carry a club every where you go and practice the Hogan grip until it is ingrained in your subconscious. You can sit and watch TV while you practice the grip....this is what Hogan used to do!

You will not find better beginner golf tips on the web than what's in Ben Hogan's Five Lessons!

It takes 21 days for a new habit to be formed. So you will need to practice the Hogan grip for 21 consecutive days. At first the new grip will feel "different". Stay with it! You probably won't hit the ball very good at first, depending on how bad your grip is in the first place.

IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: Hogan wrote this book later in his career so his grip is very weak in the illustrations. He weakened his grip to eliminate a nasty hook he fought for years. I do NOT recommend this weak grip unless you too are fighting a hook. Most amateurs have the opposite problem which is a slice, and a weak grip will only make a slice worse.

Use the same ideas Hogan is teaching about the grip, just make your grip a little stronger by ensuring the V's on BOTH your hands are pointing more toward your right shoulder (left photo above)...You will see in Hogan's grip that his V's are pointing to his right ear indicating a weak grip (right photo above).

The grip he employed in the left photo is the one he used when he fought a hook early in his career. Notice the "V" on his left hand is pointing toward his right shoulder in the photo on the left? This is considered a strong grip. See how the left thumb in the left photo is on the right handed side of the shaft? This is the grip you want to use UNLESS you are fighting a hook...then you should weaken your grip like the photo on the right.

The photo on the right is the grip he used later in his career, when he won all his majors. This is how he eliminated the hook that would haunt him for so long...he absolutely hated to hook the ball.

Notice on the photo on the right the "V" on his left hand is pointing toward his right ear...a very weak grip. Also notice how the left thumb in the right photo is resting on top of the shaft.
See how the shaft is placed more in the fingers of the right hand in both photos? This is critical for maximum club head speed. You can't see it in these photos but the shaft is also placed more in the fingers of the left hand in both photos.

Hogan liked to feel his hands were working as one when he gripped the club. He said his hands felt "alive" when they were on the club. Too much grip pressure will certainly kill the golf swing as you will be unable to release the club head properly, robbing you of distance. So grip the club on a scale of about 4 or 5, with 10 being the tightest, and 0 being the lightest pressure.

The pressure points of a proper grip should be the last 3 fingers of the left hand as it grips the club, the right thumb pad as it sits on the left thumb, and the right thumb and right index finger...there should be no space between where the right thumb and the base of the right index finger meet. You should not put much pressure with the crook of your right index finger on the club, it should just rest on the club. The reason for this is too much pressure on the right index finger will cause tension that will travel up through your hand and into your arm.

I have spent a lot of time on the grip because I feel a proper grip is crucial to hit a golf ball with maximum power. I see so many high handicap golfers with an improper grip. Mostly they grip the club too tight trying to kill the ball. I also notice their grips have the club too much in the palms, rather than more in the fingers which encourages a full release.

If all the beginner golf tips on the web have you tied up in knots and confused about the golf swing, get Ben Hogan's Five Lessons and untie those knots!

Lee Trevino Golf Secrets - What You Can Learn From The Merry Mex!

By John Lynch

I love to listen to Lee Trevino talk about the golf swing. If there ever was a self-made man, Lee is certainly it! The Merry-Mex learned golf the hard way, sneaking onto golf courses and caddying when he was young. He practiced long and hard when he was a young man in Mexico diligently honing his craft.

Lee certainly has a great understanding of the golf swing. Lee's swing is a bit unorthodox as he reroutes the club on the downswing...not a conventional golf swing to say the least. One thing Lee Trevino understands very well is how the golf ball responds to the club face at impact....which is the only thing the golf ball cares about. Do you think the golf ball cares about how your swing looks? All it knows is what is happening at impact.

When I finally figured out what Lee Trevino was talking about it made a tremendous impact on how solidly I began to strike the ball. I know this is a cliché and you probably have heard it a million times, you must hit down on the golf ball to make it go up! Do you know what is really happening when a golf ball is well struck at impact? It took me 8 years before I figured this out...and it was Lee who finally explained it to me.

Most golfers "flip" the club face at the ball in a futile attempt to make the ball go up...if there ever was a move in the golf swing that robs you of power, this is it. Lee likes to imagine the back of his left hand is the club face while he is swinging. On the down swing he imagines "trapping" the back of his left hand into the back of the ball...an incredibly powerful move that keeps the golf club at a right angle with the left arm deep into the downswing. "Hit the back of the ball with the back of the left hand" is Lee's mantra. World famous golf swing guru Butch Harmon says he likes to feel like he has Bethlehem Steel in his left wrist at impact.

So what happens to the golf ball at impact when it is struck correctly? When you swing down on the ball at impact the golf ball actually spins up the club face to the top grooves. This is what the grooves in the club face are for...this is what gives the golf ball spin. How do you think pro golfers stop the ball on a dime on the green? They are using more of the grooves on the club face than amateurs. Golfers who flip the club face at impact are only utilizing the bottom grooves on the club face...the result; a weak, flat trajectory with little spin...Their left wrist has completely broken down at impact.

Watch the golf pros left wrist at impact...most of them have a bowed left wrist at impact...the opposite of the golfers who flip at the ball where the left wrist has broken down. This bowed left wrist allows a late powerful release into the golf ball...the secret to tremendous power off the tee.
Next time you go to the range, think "Back of Left Wrist Into Back of Ball" as you start your downswing. This mental image forces you to swing from the inside and retain the release deep into the downswing. The ball will start sounding different coming off your club face because you will now be hitting the golf ball the way the club was designed to strike a golf ball. Your golf ball will have a higher trajectory and it will go a lot further.

Try it...it works!

Hit 'em Long and Straight!

How To Play Golf Like Tiger Woods?

By John Lynch

Do you wanna shave 10 strokes off your golf scores immediately?

Then read on...

Did you watch Tiger Woods during the U.S Open at Torrey Pines this year?

Did you see how he meticulously planned each golf shot...he is a pure golf warrior!

Tiger Woods is the best golfer on the planet mainly because he fully understands his strengths...and weaknesses...yes, even Tiger has weaknesses.

You might think to play golf like Tiger Woods means to bomb every drive...

Or go for the miracle golf shot. This is hardly the case....

Read on...

When Tiger has the lead in the final round of a golf tournament he usually plays conservative; like hitting fairway wood off the tee...this takes the big number out of the equation...he lets his opponents beat themselves as they aggressively chase him.

Tiger’s knee hurt badly during all 4 rounds of the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines this past weekend. A weakness in his game not to be denied or ignored. Because of his knee injury Tiger knew what he was capable of, and what he wasn’t capable of…

Tiger played within his limits!

When Tiger was in the rough on a par 5, he laid up. He didn’t go for the green in two and risk shooting himself out of the golf tournament.

Tiger Woods learned early in life under the tutelage of his father Earl on how to survey the golf course AND his opponents with uncanny precision. Tiger does this through the fine art of course management…

And mental toughness!

What is the fine art of course management you say? It all starts with knowing your limits.

Knowing your strengths and weaknesses, and knowing your opponent's strengths and weaknesses...and of course know the golf course you are playing on...this is your battlefield!

Tiger Woods knows his limits and plays within them. So many high handicap golfers try for the "miracle shot" when they are in trouble...This usually ends up costing them at least 10 strokes or more a round (depending on their level).

Think about it, attempting to hit the miracle golf shot you can execute correctly one in ten times is a recipe for disaster...this makes for great drama...remember Tin Cup? How bout Jean Van de Velde when he choked in the '99 British Open? They both went for the miracle golf shot.

The truth is going for the miracle shot when everything is on the line may make for great T.V. drama; however this attitude will absolutely crush your golf scores!

Do you hit driver on a 300 yard par 4 even though you can only drive the ball 250? The 50 yard pitch shot is one of the hardest shots in golf...

Even for Tiger Woods!

Rather than reaching for the big stick, leave yourself 100 yards for your second shot. For most good golfers 100 yards is a full pitching wedge which they can hit in their sleep.

Play golf like Tiger Woods as he systematically wore down a game competitor in Rocco Mediate during the 18 hole playoff in this year’s U.S. Open ...think and plan ahead...know your strengths...and your weaknesses!

The fact of the matter is, if you plan on leaving the golf ball at your "sweet spot" distance from the hole, you will dramatically improve your chances of hitting more greens in regulation…

And more greens in regulation leads to more circles on your score card…which means more pars and birdies!

For some this sweet spot distance from the pin is 100 yards, some 120 yards, learn what your sweet spot distance is and practice that shot over and over at the range until you can hit that shot in your sleep.

Play golf like Tiger Woods!

Hit 'em Long and Straight!

How To Keep Left Arm Straight During Golf Swing?

By John Lynch

You've been hearing it since you first learned how to swing a golf club - "you gotta keep your left arm straight during the golf swing".

The trouble is; how do you learn to keep your left arm straight?

A lotta golfers who think they keep their left arm straight during the golf swing are shocked when they see themselves swing on video...their left elbow usually breaks down somewhere during the backswing...or the downswing.

Some golfers are so intent on keeping their left arm straight during the golf swing they become rigid with little shoulder turn.

So, how do you learn to keep the left arm straight during the golf swing?

First, a little lesson on the physics of the golf swing...

Experts on the physics of golf refer to the "Magic Triangle" or "Eternal Triangle" that is formed in an ideal golf swing. This is the triangle formed by the golfer's left arm, the golf club, and an imaginary line from the golfer's left shoulder to the center of the club face (look at the picture of Tiger Woods above to get an idea of this triangle). For best results, this triangle should be maintained from the start of the backswing to just before the impact area when you release the club head. This will produce a high speed impact with the ball as described in detail by Joe Dante in his top selling golf instructional book - Four Magic Moves to Winning Golf.

By focusing on maintaining the magic triangle throughout the golf swing you are taken advantage of a powerful physical force...the conservation of angular momentum...the principal that states angular momentum of an object remains constant as long as no external force or moment acts on that object.

If the object (club head) is brought closer to the axis (formed by the golfer's stable spine), it speeds up. If the club head is moved further out, it slows down. In a golf swing, as the player rotates the club, the hands move farther from the body or axis and slow down. This reduction in momentum feeds into the much lighter club and increases the speed of the club head in the last part of the stroke, in a whiplash type of effect, increasing the force of impact on the ball.

The truth is, if your left arm does not stay straight during the golf swing, you are losing out on the benefits of centrifugal force because your swing arc is smaller. Think of your left arm as a spoke in a wheel and your swing arc as the circumference of the wheel.

You see, by not keeping your left arm straight you are essentially shortening the spoke thereby reducing the circumference. You are also upsetting the positive effects of conservation of angular momentum and thus reducing the impact speed between club face and ball.

Now that you understand the physics behind the benefits of keeping your left arm straight during the golf swing...

How do you learn to do so?

Assuming your golf swing fundamentals such as grip, stance, and alignment are relatively sound, all you have to do is simply become aware of this magic triangle. Don’t try to force this triangle…just become aware of it next time you go to the range…

Then, just before impact, release all that stored energy you will have in the club head, like cracking a whip!

After a while you will be shocked at how solidly you can strike the ball…

You’ll be surprised how straight your left arm becomes during the golf swing just by shining the light of awareness upon this magic triangle during the golf swing.

You will now have a tiger by the tail so use this new found power wisely!

Hit ‘em Long and Straight!

By John Lynch

Looking for the secret to a great golf swing? I guarantee if you master this one magic move in your golf swing your golf scores will come down at least 10 strokes…immediately!

What is this secret move you ask?...

In a nutshell – “Start the backswing with an early backward wrist break!”

Lemme explain.

I know what you’re thinking, this sounds too simple to be true. It goes against every rule you ever heard about starting the golf swing. But it’s true - and unless your golf swing is now everything that you want it to be, you will find out how and why this one magic move is made.

The backward wrist break is quite simple to do. If you have been breaking your wrist in the conventional way you may need a little time to convince yourself of the backward wrist break.

Conventional golf swing wisdom says to break the right wrist (right handed golfer) late in the backswing.

Since the backward wrist break is the first move in the backswing, let's be absolutely certain you understand what it is.

First, hold your right hand in front of you, fingers together and extended, thumb up and the palm squarely facing the left. From that position bend the hand to the right, trying to make the fingers come back toward the outside of the wrist. You can't get them anywhere near the wrist, of course, but a person with supple wrists can bend the hand back until hand and wrist form a right angle.

This motion of the hand, straight back, is the backward wrist break.

The way the right hand should move from the wrist in the early backward break-straight back toward the outside of the forearm, with no turning or rolling.

The conventional wrist break is quite different. Hold your hand again as you held it before. Now, instead of bending it backward, bend it up, so that the thumb comes toward you. That is the orthodox, accepted wrist break. Forget it. You will no longer need it.

To make the backward wrist break we merely push the heel of the right hand down against the big knuckle of the left thumb. This is a downward pressure of the heel on the thumb. When it is done, without moving the hands otherwise, the right hand breaks backward at the wrist and the left hand breaks forward or inward, the back of the left hand going under and facing, in a general way, toward the ground.

How the backward break is made, with the heel of the right hand pressing down on the knuckle of the left thumb. The back of the left hand begins to turn down and under.

How not to make the break. Wrists and hands have rolled, the back of the left hand has turned upward. The right hand is rolling too, instead of bending straight back.

At this point the club will have come back slightly inside the projected line of flight but the club face will not have opened. The face will be at about a 45-degree angle with the ground and, as you stand there, you will not be able to see any of it.

We have not put this into the actual swing yet, remember. We are still working on the biomechanics of the wrist break. At this fundamental stage in your backswing you may refuse to believe that you can hit the ball with such a break. So make this test....

"Go To The Practice Tee, Or To A Range Or An Indoor Net. Address The Ball. Make The Backward Break And Do Nothing Else!”

Don't shift your weight, move your hips, or turn your shoulders. Just make the backward break. Hold it a couple of seconds. Now simply turn your shoulders, letting the shoulders swing your arms and the club up to the top, and then go right on through with the swing and hit the ball.

You’ll be amazed at what happens after you try this a few times. You will find, if you keep the wrist position, you not only hit the ball, but that you hit it solidly, hit it straight, and hit it a surprisingly long distance.

You will also discover the more you permit the turning shoulders to swing the club up, the better you will hit the ball and the farther you will hit it. Make no effort to swing the arms, just let the shoulders move them and the club. The more the arms are swung independently of the shoulders, the less likely you are to reach a good position at the top. So picture the shoulders as the motivating force, the "motor."

Here is what you should see when you make the backward break perfectly - only one knuckle of the left hand but two knuckles of the right.

The closer you bring this motivating force to the axis of the swing (the spinal column) the better the swing will be.

Learn how one simple "magic move" (which you can easily feed into your current swing in just 7 minutes, even if you stink at the game right now) instantly uncorks so much hidden raw power, balance and accuracy... That you can go out tomorrow and launch a pin-point 230-yard tee shot with a 3-wood...From your knees!

Hit ‘em Long and Straight!

Fast Fact

Over 92% of computers are infected with adware and spyware. Such software is rarely accompanied by uninstall utility and even when it is it almost always leaves broken Windows Registry keys behind it. Even if you have an anti-spyware tool your Windows Registry might be broken - developers of those tools are focused on removing adware and spyware functionality, not every trace of software itself.

The best thing I've found with this site in terms of generating real sign-ups and down-lines is the use of the text ad component of the site.

I have had more direct referrals from this component of the site. This is simply because the text is on a yellow background making in more visual.

It is also not difficult to build traffic points with a very reasonable upgrade package to make that aspect even easier.

Now offering 40% commissions on referral sign ups.
